By the way, I am long HP in my diversified portfolio... the P/E ratio is seven. The market capitalization is just 17 billion. Dividend yield 6.39%, high cash flows... Worst case scenario, if they just do 2 billion of cash flow per year, that's still a free cash flow yield of above 10%. If then things improve... that might then be positive for HP... If it ever recovers to 7%, that would significantly re-rate the business... Now they are using 1.16 billion for dividends and likely will spend another 1.5 billion on buybacks. That's still almost 10% of buyback yield and 6-7% dividend yield. I don't see HP going away over time... I am happy also if the cash flows go down to 2 billion, 10% yield for the next year or two. I'm happy in the diversified portfolio having a small position. Can double down if there is significant improvement in opportunity.
