Pundit Scoreboard is an independent financial-prediction audit project — who said what target, did it pan out?

🎯 What this is

Finance YouTubers and Weibo influencers produce a steady stream of stock predictions with explicit time horizons and price targets:

  • "NVDA to $200 by year-end"
  • "Bitcoin breaks $100K within 3 months"
  • "S&P 500 will drop another 10% this year"

When the window closes, nobody goes back to check. New videos bury old ones; stale predictions sink into the feed.

This site does one thing: record every time-bound, target-bearing stock prediction we can find, wait for the horizon to expire, then verify against actual market data. Each call is tagged hit / partial / miss / pending, and we simulate a "$1 per call" portfolio to track average P/L per decided call. Every card links back to the original video with a timestamp deep-link.

🤔 Why we built it

The quality of public discourse depends on accountability cost. If a pundit's calls are never reviewed, they can cost-free repeat bold-but-wrong predictions — because today's traffic rewards alarming headlines, not historical accuracy.

Systematic scoring causes two things to happen:

  • Pundits with consistent records earn deserved trust
  • Pundits who repeatedly blow up lose their "expert" aura naturally

We don't take sides, and we don't judge character. One question only: did your prediction pan out? What's the simulated P/L?

Operated by as an independent research project. Non-profit, no ads, no sponsors, no paid promotions.

The pipeline is multi-model LLM extraction from public videos + automated market-data verification (see 📐 Methodology).

📐 Fairness principles

  • Same rules for every pundit — language, ideology, market thesis don't matter
  • Every prediction links to its source (video URL + timestamp)
  • Results separate fact ("they said X") from evaluation ("X did not happen")
  • We critique predictions, not personalities
  • Subjects or readers may request corrections — we reply within 7 business days

The "simulated P/L" shown is a stylized backtest model (each prediction treated as a $1 position opened on video-publish date, closed on horizon date), used to score prediction accuracy, not to recommend trades.
